Engagements

An engagement session is a chance to get comfortable in front of the camera, and to see exactly how I work before your wedding day. I guide you through the process by first learning about you as a couple, then I let the real moments happen, with posing where needed. Every photo is edited by me, one image at a time. I want to make each image special. You’ll have photos for your save-the-dates, invitations and wedding website that will last for years to come. Take a look at a few favorite sessions from Chico, Redding, Sacramento and across Northern California.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do you charge?

A wedding day is a fluid thing. Each wedding is unique. I do have a starting price based on time. I start at $3,500 for eight hours of coverage. That includes the images being delivered via online gallery.

Do you have a second shooter?

A second shooter is an additional cost. I typically shoot weddings on my own and provide the option for a second shooter if my clients want one.

That said, having a second shooter has it's benefits, and if the wedding party is large enough I will require one so that I can deliver the best possible experience for my couple.

How long does it take to get our photos?

I say a six-week turn around, but I am typically faster. Honestly, each wedding is different and I do work on each image I deliver. that takes some time to finish, but it is worth the wait.

Can you recommend any good locations?

Yes! also, if you have a location in mind that works too. I am constantly building relationships with local vendors to better be a resource for my couples.

Testimonials

Keith is an excellent photographer who produces great photos! He took my professional work photos and my engagement photos and I could not be happier with both. He is experienced, knowledgeable, and thoughtful about details like location, timing, and lighting. He is fun and professional to work with. Also he provides a lot of options in the final albums, there were many photos to choose from. He can do any kind of edits, from small touch ups to major changes, which all look real and seamless. He is open to your ideas and brings his own creativity to the table as well. Would highly recommend!

Testimonials

When it came to finding a photographer for my wedding, I was honestly dreading the entire process. I wasn't looking forward to researching and contacting countless photographers, especially since I started wedding planning later than most and had a tight timeline to get everything scheduled. Thankfully, Keith Alton Photo was recommended to me by a friend, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! I usually hate getting my picture taken and didn't have any interest in planning out photo ideas for my wedding, but Keith made everything so easy. He’s known for his professional business photography, but he’s incredibly versatile and handled our wedding seamlessly.

One thing that really stood out was how well-liked Keith was by our guests—my family and friends all commented on how flexible and easygoing he was, and it honestly felt like he was enjoying the day right along with us. That’s not something you see with every photographer!

We received a wonderful mix of formal shots with my husband, our wedding party, and family, plus tons of candid moments that captured the spirit of our celebration. Looking back through the photos was like reliving the best moments of the day, and confirmed that everyone was having a great time. If you want a photographer who’s talented, adaptable, and genuinely connects with everyone, I highly recommend Keith Alton Photo.
